Performs tasks in accordance with company SOPs and policies, while also following standard methodologies independently. Develops and supports initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity of the laboratory.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Other Job Information:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops and validates scripts/methods. Understands and conforms to methods, and protocols applicable to assigned tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops liquid classes for liquid handling workstations and trains others to perform liquid class testing.</p> </li><li> <p>maintenance and sophisticated remedial maintenance (e.g., complex hardware replacements)</p> </li><li> <p>Implements new scripts/methods through developmental testing without supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports new hires and trainees in completing scripts/methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in validation projects and, with minimal direction, conducts validation experiments. May serve as a Principal Investigator</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates strong documentation skills and follows relevant SOPs and standard processes for laboratory automation. Trains others on documentation and SOPs/laboratory automation approaches.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs programming and/or process mapping for fully automated workflows</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification or previous experience.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Direct experience with automation instrumentation required; vendor service certification preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with programming (Hamilton Venus, TECAN EVOware or Fluent Control, Thermo Momentum, VB, Python, etc.) required; vendor programming certification (or equivalent) preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to operate and troubleshoot a wide variety of analytical instrumentation and data acquisition systems</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Proven record to work in a collaborative work environment with a team</p> </li><li> <p>Confirmed understanding of GxP requirements, SOPs, ICH guidelines, USP requirements and FDA</p> </li><li> <p>Confirmed troubleshooting and critical thinking skills</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in sophisticated automated platform software use and programming</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of data generation and statistical programs</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of general chemistry, separation science, immunochemistry, molecular genomics, biomarker, and/or vaccine science related concepts and/or technologies (as applicable) systems</p> </li><li> <p>Technical writing skills</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions and Environment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with daily exposure to electrical office equipment and hazardous waste.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms.</p> </li><li> <p>Personal protective equipment such as protective eyewear, garments and gloves may be required at times.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to fluctuating and/or extreme temperatures on rare occasions.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally works towards site or client locations, occasionally travels within the United States</p> </li></ul>
