Check out our Part Time Benefits here</p> <p>WCC is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when part-time and/or on-call instructors are needed to teach in-person Police Academy credit courses. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application, resume and transcripts, you will be considered for future part-time and/or on-call teaching opportunities on a per course basis.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Primary instructor responsible for curriculum development and content. The content must be tied to the MCOLES Basic Police Training Curriculum.• Provide lesson plans, objectives and identified outcomes for the learning modules. Adhere to course syllabus.• Teaches, instructs, and coaches students in basic police training related topics and skills.• Monitors students' performance to make suggestions/corrections for improvement and to ensure that they satisfy course standards, training requirements, and MCOLES state licensing standards.• Works individually and with other instructors to review and evaluate individual students and their progress.• Maintains accurate and complete student records as required.• Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.• Other duties as assigned.Hours/Schedule:Schedules vary according to class schedules. The terms of employment are based on college enrollment and class enrollment.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited institution in Criminal Justice or related field required. Minimum 5 years full-time work experience required. Past or current license as Law Enforcement or Corrections officer or industry recognized professional certification in the specific area of instruction required. Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field may be considered with minimum 7 years full time work experience and certification.• Must have curriculum subject area knowledge/personal experience.
