<ul> <li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>The Clinical Supervisor leads and participates in the delivery of care assuring day to day operations of the department run smoothly.</p> </li><li> <p>DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Assures that care is delivered in a safe, efficient, personalized and therapeutic manner through patient rounding, documentation audits, observation of team members, and investigation of complaints. Follows standards and regulations of CMS and The Joint Commission. Reports concerning issues to the Clinical Manager/Operations Manager/Operations Director.</p> </li><li> <p>Overall performance of below indicated essential job duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Leads and directs the department in day to day activities while promoting creating a positive work environment, communicating, recognizing individual and department success, coaching and disciplining, and identifying problems/barriers in patient care and working with the team to identify and implement solutions.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for the staffing of the department by coordinating the staff schedule, flexing to meet patient needs and interviewing/hiring to fill vacancies all while maintaining staffing within budgeted HPPD.</p> </li><li> <p>Accountable for the patient experiences, professional growth and development of the team through assistance with performance evaluations, educational needs identification and coordination of training, and holding team members accountable to the policies and procedures of the Medical Center.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in the planning, development and implementation of quarterly continuing education and training for staff development.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with in home care supervised visits and filed performance and documentation compliance.</p> </li><li> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum requirement:</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains active RN license with multi state privileges.</p> </li><li> <p>Achieves and maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)</p> </li><li> <p>Current active driver's license and daily access to a reliable vehicle.</p> </li><li> <p>Achieves and maintains Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Three to five years of Home Health nursing experience with demonstrated leadership/management ability.</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of UKKD LEAD Academy</p> </li><li> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly works near moving mechanical parts</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly exposed to blood and/or body fluids and infection.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to risk of radiation</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to operate a motor vehicle long distances in urban and rural areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to unpleasant home environments</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally exposed to adverse weather and unsafe road conditions</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to maintain in a stationary position (standing or sitting).</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to walk and move about.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to operate a computer and other equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to use fine motor skills to handle and operate instruments/devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 100 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to communicate with patients and other care team requiring talking and hearing.</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to position self in order to meet patient needs.</p> </li></ul>
