<p>Description and requirements</p> <p>Skanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.</p> <p>The Motor Transport Department (MT) provides a vital role in support of the UK's Principal Military Headquarters at Northwood HQ.</p> <p>We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to portray a professional image in delivering a first-class service to both military and civil servants.</p> <p>You will·</p> <ul> <li>Drive a variety of vehicles within the pool, ranging from cars to minibuses. </li><li>Provide services in accordance with both MoD and or civilian regulations. </li><li>Complete first line maintenance, checks in accordance with vehicle specifications and requirements. </li><li>Valeting and preparation of vehicles when not on driving duties. </li></ul> <p>As part of the Driver Team at Northwood HQ, your standard working hours are organised according to a 12 week shift pattern which will require you to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday within this period. For this reason, ideally you will reside within 30 mins travel time to Northwood HQ.</p> <p>We're looking for</p> <ul> <li>Ability to obtain security clearance to 'SC' level. In order to obtain clearance, the successful candidate will have been, continually, a resident in the UK for the past 5 years. </li><li>Should the successful candidate not hold the relevant licence (D or D1 without "101" restriction or CPC), Skanska will look to support to obtain these within an agreed timescale. </li><li>Driver CPC Qualification card. </li><li>Driver Tachograph Card. </li><li>Professional driving experience. </li><li>Experience working in a transport environment. </li><li>Extensive knowledge of driving regulations and drivers hours Regulations </li></ul> <p>This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting. You should be aware that certain levels of clearance or specific projects and/or sites have UK residency requirements; and any dual or multiple nationalities must be declared.
