As the premier provider of fire protection and life-safety solutions across the Southeast, VSC Fire & Security provides every customer with comprehensive solutions through outstanding design, efficient installation, reliable service and repair, and thorough inspections.</p> <p>VSC Fire & Security in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking candidates for the position of Safety Coordinator.</p> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary based on experience. </li><li>Options for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance for you and your family. </li><li>A 401K plan with a company match. </li><li>PTO and Paid Holidays. </li><li>Opportunities for training and advancement. </li><li>Relevant educational and licensure reimbursement for qualified candidates. </li><li>Health Savings Account (HSA). </li><li>Life Insurance. </li><li>Employee Assistance Program. </li><li>Referral Bonuses. </li></ul> <p>What you need:</p> <ul> <li>Three years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or comparable management experience. </li><li>Knowledge of Construction/General Industry as pertains to OSHA. </li><li>Experience with Writing policies and procedures for health and safety. </li><li>Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics. </li><li>Proficient in MS Office/Excel/Teams. </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Critical thinker and problem-solving skills </li><li>Team Player </li><li>Good time-management skills </li><li>Great interpersonal skills and communication skills </li><li>Desired but not required. </li><li>OSHA 30 or OSHA 510 </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct safety audits and risk assessments daily/weekly to identify potential hazards on both jobsites and warehouses and recommend corrective actions to the Proper Manager and Division Manager. </li><li>Lead Safety Meetings as requested. </li><li>Investigate and analyze accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions to identify root causes and implement preventative measures to reduce accidents. </li><li>Maintains records of training etc., as they apply to the safety program., and teach as needed. </li><li>Attend all required meeting as requested by the Regional Safety Manager, Director of Safety or Division Manager, </li><li>Update and maintain the Safety Data Sheets for the division yearly or as needed to ensure chemicals are up to date. </li><li>Works with Management and Employees to resolve any safety related issues. </li><li>Continuously learn and attend development classes as requested. </li><li>Any other assigned duties by the Director of Safety and Regional Safety Manager. </li></ul> <p>VSC Fire and Security is a drug free workplace.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>We look forward to hearing from you!</p> <p>www.vscfire.com</p>
