<p>Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Dietitian to join our Melrose Center team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Dietitian provides Medical Nutrition Therapy through screening, assessment and education with monitoring and follow-up of recommendations. Patients may be seen in an individual or group setting. Serves as a professional nutrition resource for PNHS serving its patients, employees, community and providers.</p> <p>This position is specifically the Registered Dietitian for the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program at Melrose. Your responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Performing nutrition assessments and follow up sessions with adolescent patients as well as family sessions utilizing FBT principles. </li><li>Creating and implementing nutritional recommendation to support the overall treatment plan for the pt. </li><li>Supporting and coaching adolescent patients through meals and snacks during the day. </li><li>Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the responsibilities stated in the Dietitian- Cred-D job description, this position requires competency in the following tasks or skills.</p> <p>Tasks and Responsibilities:</p> <p>*</p> <p>Liaison between the nutrition department, food services, patients and staff.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Delivers patient education and care to best meet the identified needs of the patient including materials, resources, grocery store tours, cooking experiences, food exposures and use of interpreters.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Uses therapeutic counseling skills such as DBT to be effective in addressing crisis management.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Responsibility of a specialty RD to implement research-based protocols and procedures as identified by the treatment team as best practice including FBT, ARFID, CBT-E.</p> <p>*</p> <p>Facilitates educational programs, groups, and meal experiences.</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>M: 10-6</p> <p>W: 10-6</p> <p>F: 8-4</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:</p> </li><li> <p>BA or BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited college or university.</p> </li><li> <p>Completed an accredited internship, traineeship, CUP program or other acceptable route to ADA registration status.</p> </li><li> <p>Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:</p> </li><li> <p>Registered with the American Dietetic Association (RD).</p> </li><li> <p>Licensed Dietitian</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a valid driver's license and meet the insurability requirements relating to Park Nicollet's motor vehicle violation criteria.</p> </li><li> <p>This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> </li><li> <p>Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Personal Computer, Telephone, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Printer, and electronic medical record.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination, and harassment laws).</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> </li><li> <p>Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Understands and applies teaching/learning principles.</p> </li><li> <p>Works independently, as well as collaboratively, displaying effective communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Supportive of team members</p> </li><li> <p>Works in concert with team members and interdisciplinary staff</p> </li><li> <p>Strong prioritization, multi-tasking skills and ability to handle large workload.</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Park Nicollet offers a competitive benefits package (for eligible positions) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, a retirement program, time away from work, insurance options, tuition reimbursement, an employee assistance program, onsite clinic and much more!</p> <p>At HealthPartners we believe in the power of good - good deeds and good people working together.
