<p>Job Description</p> <ul> <li>Logansport High School is seeking a dedicated Assistant Principal for Curriculum and Instruction to join our leadership team and school community. </li><li>This role is instrumental in managing curriculum development, teacher evaluations, academic testing, and professional development initiatives. </li><li>This role includes overseeing the Guidance Department, ACHIEVE Center, Early College program, and other duties as assigned. </li><li>This contract will be for 205 days, 8 hours per day </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development: Oversee curriculum and instruction initiatives while leading professional development for staff, aiming at continuous improvement in teaching and learning. </li><li>Testing Coordination: Oversee academic testing and work closely with the Director of Guidance on coordinating and managing various testing responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient testing process for students. </li><li>Teacher and Staff Evaluations: Evaluation of certified and non-certified staff. </li><li>Supervising School Events and Activities: Supervise various school events and activities after school hours. </li><li>Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by Indiana state law. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Certification in School Administration and Supervision: Must hold a valid certification in school administration and supervision, indicating formal training and qualification for the role. </li><li>Teaching Experience: Minimum of five years teaching experience. </li><li>Demonstrated Leadership Experience: Proven leadership capabilities at a school administration level, with a track record of effectively managing school operations and leading educational teams or equivalent. </li><li>Deep Knowledge of Teaching Methodologies: Possess a deep understanding of various teaching methodologies, especially those pertinent to the high school level, to support and guide instructional practices effectively. </li><li>Strong communication, well organized, positive attitude, flexible, dependable, patient, and ability to lead others. </li><li>Contract includes a comprehensive benefits package with health insurance (three plan options and LCSC Wellness Clinic), long-term disability & life insurance policies and an additional administrative life insurance policy paid by the corporation </li><li>Indiana Public Retirement System contributions fully paid, voluntary participation in tax annuity retirement program with either a pre-tax or post-tax contribution with up to a 2.5% corporation match. </li><li>Dental/Vision plans available along with other voluntary supplemental insurance plans. </li></ul>
