<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Black Point Estate and Gardens is a historic Victorian Summer Estate on the shore of Geneva Lake, Wisconsin. The Estate evokes the sense of time and place when urban families escaped to Wisconsin to spend lazy summer days entertaining guests on verandas or boating on Geneva Lake. Today guests enjoy a narrated boat tour of the scenic shoreline on their way to and from this enchanted lakeside estate. Staff work in historic indoor and outdoor spaces in the beauty of this country estate to bring history to life for thousands of guests each summer.</p> <p>Under the lead of the Black Point Site Director, this individual is responsible for the light maintenance, cleanliness and sanitation of attraction restroom facilities, designated indoor and outdoor common spaces accessed by guests, and designated staff workspaces. This individual will perform the following duties and responsibilities in all assigned buildings and locations. Position is budgeted for 15-20 hours per week from April 15 - November 15.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Clean and sanitize all restroom surfaces, checking and restocking all supplies. </li><li>Dust, vacuum, sweep and clean guest access areas, offices, and work areas. </li><li>Empty public and staff waste baskets and recycling bins, and replace liners. </li><li>Wet mop floors, halls and stairs. </li><li>Wash and clean windows and windowsills </li><li>Empty exterior trash and recycling cans and monitor all public spaces, parking lots, and common areas to collect and dispose of trash and recyclable material. </li><li>Sweep and clean paths, walkways, and drives. </li><li>Maintain an accurate and up to date inventory of all cleaning equipment and custodial supplies. Report all restock needs in a timely manner to Site Director to ensure maintenance of correct inventory levels </li><li>Record and report discovered maintenance and repair issues to Site Director. </li><li>Assist in public and private event set up and tear down needs as assigned. </li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of tables, chairs, and other supplies and materials used for private and public events. </li><li>Provide assistance and guidance to guests in a courteous and professional manner. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Pay range is $16.00 per hour with a weekend differential of 80 cents per hour. This classification is in schedule and class 03-08.</p> <p>Please note this is a Limited Term Employment position so it does not include paid time off or benefits upon hire.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>A criminal background check will be conducted by WHS prior to an offer of employment to determine if the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job.</p> <p>This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position and limited to 1,039 hours. This position will be part time and average 15-20 hours per week.</p> <p>Wisconsin residency is required for Limited Term Employment positions.</p> <p>Limited Term Employment (LTE) positions are not civil service classified positions, do not give any rights to permanent civil service classified positions and do not lead to permanent status.</p> <p>WHS does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Be familiar with and able to use common custodial supplies, equipment and chemicals.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to perform all duties in a swift and thorough manner to make sure the museum is clean, safe and inviting.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to take direction and follow through with minimum supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to use email and enter time using computer technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Wisconsin driver's license and safe driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to work outdoors in inclement weather and under hot, cold, wet or dusty conditions.</p> </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
