The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health. # EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Desirable Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. Demonstrates knowledge of Palliative Care, Advance Directives, Pain Management, Discharge#Planning Certification in Palliative Care must be obtained within 2 years of employment.# BLS certification. Excellent communication skills. Excellent patient assessment skills including assessment of psychosocial issues. Able to work independently and collaboratively with members of the healthcare team. Experience with EMR and Microsoft Word Products. Demonstrates a professional, positive, flexible demeanor.
