<p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible for day-to-day accounting functions for TERREPOWER functions. The position works directly with Accounting and Finance functions, including Business leaders, to report accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP. The focus will be on the US and Canada operations, but it will require coordination with Mexico and Europe Controllers for the Group.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Accounting & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with US GAAP and company policies. </li><li>Oversee daily operations within the corporate accounting department managing and mentoring team. </li><li>Implementing and maintaining BBB accounting policies, GAAP, practices, procedures and initiatives. </li><li>Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, conducting thorough account analysis and communicating findings to the Corporate Controller. </li><li>Support audits by managing requirements efficiently and ensuring full compliance with audit standards. </li><li>Drive process improvements, develop effective internal controls, and create documentation for policies and procedures. </li><li>Stay updated on accounting trends, implement system upgrades, and contribute to special projects. </li><li>Conduct in-depth analyses of financial data to identify trends, evaluate assets and liabilities, and prepare reports that summarize the company's financial status for management. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing advanced analytical insights to drive strategic decision-making and enhance operational outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and feedback to accounting team members, fostering a culture of high performance and growth. </li><li>Design development plans and offer continuous performance monitoring, ensuring productivity, engagement, and adherence to BBB's goals. </li><li>Lead by example, displaying adaptability, resilience, and an unwavering drive for excellence within the BBB global finance organization. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred. </li><li>5-10 years of experience in general ledger accounting or auditing, ideally with a background in manufacturing. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Net Suites, etc.). </li><li>Familiarity with Hyperion Financial Management or similar consolidation tools is advantageous. </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills & Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Strong analytical mindset with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. </li><li>Exceptional communication skills for conveying intricate financial analyses to internal stakeholders. </li></ul>
