<p>Position Overview</p> <p>Oxford High School's Permanent Daily Building Substitute provides consistent, reliable classroom coverage across all subject areas and grade levels within the high school. This individual plays a vital role in supporting teaching and learning by maintaining a productive, positive classroom environment and ensuring continuity of instruction during teacher absences.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide daily coverage for teachers across all departments, following lesson plans and instructional materials left by classroom teachers.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage classroom routines, expectations, and behavior to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver instruction, facilitate activities, and supervise students throughout the school day, including study halls, lunch duties, or other assignments as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and administrators.</p> </li><li> <p>Uphold school policies, procedures, and values, contributing to a positive school culture.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior experience working with high school students strongly valued.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong classroom management skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to various content areas and teaching styles.</p> </li><li> <p>Dependability, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting the academic and social-emotional needs of all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Proof of four year/Bachelor's Degree or teaching certification</p> </li><li> <p>Copy of transcripts</p> </li><li> <p>A minumum of two (2) reference letters</p> </li></ul>
