<p>Northmont City Schools</p> <p>School Psychologist</p> <p>Position begins August 1, 2025</p> <p>184 Annual Duty Days Plus Extended Days</p> <p>Per Adopted Wage Schedule</p> <p>Description</p> <p>The School Psychologist works with parents, students and educational teams to identify academic and behavioral challenges; interpret data; prescribe intervention strategies; provide extensive and relevant psycho-educational evaluations; and collaborate with building and district teams to identify instruction needs, services, and supports.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conducts evaluations and assessments for students to determine educational needs and eligibility for special education services</p> </li><li> <p>Serves as a MTSS leader to assist building and district teams with identifying and implementing strategies for all tiers, including collecting and/or analyzing data to aid in decision making and program development.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides multi-tiered supports in the area of behavior including, but not limited to, functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, small groups, interventions, PBIS, etc</p> </li><li> <p>Supports teachers and associated staff to promote implementation of best practices and successful teaching and behavior strategies to increase success of students with disabilities in all settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates on building level teams to develop school-wide systems to support all students</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of principals of school psychology, assessments, methods, behavior modification, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to organize and coordinate work.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.</p> </li><li> <p>Possession of leadership skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Must hold proper licensure as a School Psychologist from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce or the State Board of Psychology</p> <p>Review of applications is on-going and will continue until the position is filled.</p> <p>Applications and resumes may be submitted to Human Resources Director Amy Sipes asipes@northmontschools.net</p>
