Click or tap here to enter text.</p> <p>Primary Function: To provide effective services within the domains of assessment, consultation, and intervention; to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. This positions will be serving students at both the middle school and high school and will require travel to both campuses.</p> <p>Typical Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>1.Assess students who are having social/emotional difficulties and develop an appropriate treatment plan using school and community resources. Uses a problem-solving framework, based on data from multiple sources, and including valid and reliable assessment techniques, as a foundation for decision making.</p> <ol start="2"> <li> <p>Makes recommendations for evidence-based interventions and instructional support strategies to develop academic, social and life skills. Integrates behavioral support and mental health services with academic and learning goals for children.</p> </li><li> <p>Works collaboratively with other school personnel to create and maintain a multi-tiered continuum of services. Engages in effective communication in order to plan, implement, and evaluate academic and mental health services.</p> </li><li> <p>Consider antecedents, consequences, functions, and potential causes of behavioral difficulties that may impede learning or socialization. Collaborates to develop and implement behavior change programs at the individual, group, classroom, or school-wide level.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides direct counseling, behavioral support, and indirect interventions through consultation for students who experience mental health problems that impair learning and/or socialization.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates as part of special education, 504, and problem-solving teams, providing consultation and support to both school staff and parents, to improve academic and social emotional-behavioral functioning.</p> </li><li> <p>Applies understanding of the influence of culture, background, and individual characteristics when collaborating with others, and when designing and implementing interventions, to achieve learning and behavioral outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Apply knowledge and skills to create and maintain safe, supportive, fair, and effective learning environments and enhance family-school collaboration for all students.
