<p>Job Type: Regular</p> <p>Time Type: Part time</p> <p>Work Shift: Rotating (United States of America)</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you're making a difference in people's lives.</p> <p>Patient Care Associate -Needham 3</p> <p>Rotating weekends required</p> <p>Flex of Three 8 hour shifts or 12-hour shifts on occasion</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Assists with activities of daily living such as hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, comfort, and safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and documents vital signs, patient weights, intake/output, and other data.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes patient treatments as directed, and assists healthcare professionals with more complex treatments.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs phlebotomy and EKG's, applies Holter monitors, and performs glucometry. Collects and labels specimens.</p> </li><li> <p>Answers patient call lights and ensures resolution of patient issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Transports discharged patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in patient care rounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides one-to-one observation of patients as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in conferences and educational programs as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain BCLS certification and attend annual Safety Education Fair</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain unit competencies.</p> </li></ol> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ol> <li> <p>High school graduate or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and write at level 8, as documented on "Invest," the hospital's Employee Learning Laboratory software.</p> </li><li> <p>Good oral communication skills to ensure the accurate transfer of information, and strong interpersonal skills to facilitate courteous interaction with patients, visitors, and other hospital staff members.</p> </li></ol> <p>As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
