<p>Umpires cover adult recreation softball leagues Spring - Fall. Leagues are held in the evenings at Legion and/or VFW Parks. Umpires prepare fields prior to games, umpire games, maintain clean, safe environment, and submit scorecards at the end of each night.</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $41.00 - $43.00/game</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <p>Typical shifts are 5:45 - 10:00pm, depending on league and number of games</p> <p>Summer Leagues (May - August)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Tuesday Evenings:</p> </li><li> <p>Co-Ed Slow-Pitch at Legion</p> </li><li> <p>Thursday Evenings:</p> </li><li> <p>Men's 12" Slow-Pitch at VFW</p> </li><li> <p>Men's 14" 35+ Slow-Pitch at Legion</p> </li></ul> <p>Fall League (Aug/Sept - October)</p> <ul> <li> <p>Tuesday Evenings</p> </li><li> <p>Men's 14" Slow Pitch at Legion</p> </li><li> <p>Prep/chalk fields prior to game</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain control of game by following league rules/policies</p> </li><li> <p>Make calls for each play (safe/out, ball/strike)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of USA softball rules is required</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience umpiring softball and/or baseball games preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to walk, stand, and move for long periods of time</p> </li><li> <p>At least 16 years of age</p> </li><li> <p>Experience umpiring softball and/or baseball games</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred athletic experience as a JV or higher competition level in baseball/softball</p> </li><li> <p>Position requires active movement throughout evening, for up to 5 games per night.</p> </li></ul>
