<p>Description</p> <p>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Safely, accurately and efficiently perform all operations required to complete the rough assembly of brass instruments. </li><li>Properly and carefully handle all parts and components. </li><li>Routinely inspects assigned work to ensure compliance with established job standards. </li><li>Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Required to correctly select, carefully move, lift and maneuver all raw materials, tooling, work in progress, fixtures and completed parts from designated stock locations to assigned work areas. </li><li>Safely and accurately set-up lathes, tooling and all assembly fixtures to meet required dimensions and tolerances. </li><li>Required to trim inside and outside of slide tubes to specific cut-off points and lengths utilizing a lathe. Required to insert and secure individual tubes into the spindle chuck of assigned lathe, and to execute the operation of the lathe. </li><li>Complete various assemblies either by using the designated assembly fixture, or by carefully aligning each component part prior to soldering. </li><li>Adjust, manipulate and bend specific areas of each named component in order to achieve superior slide action, and minimal resistance between mating parts. </li><li>Make visual and dimensional check of parts processed according to prescribed methods and measures. </li><li>The correct safety protection and protocol must be utilized for each assigned operation. </li><li>Required to maintain an appropriate, clean, and safe work environment. </li><li>Complies with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards. </li><li>This description reflects management's assignment of essential functions, it does not proscribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Regular Attendance. </li><li>Manufacturing Process Aptitude. </li><li>Ability to use a variety of hand tools, measure devices (micrometers, calipers, etc.) Use of related manufacturing equipment and operating controls. </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit or stand for 8 consecutive hours. </li><li>Responsible for properly and carefully handling all instruments and components. </li><li>Required to properly dispose of or recycle any scrap material generated by any assigned production operation, and are required to maintain an appropriate, clean and safe work environment. </li><li>Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures. </li><li>Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements. </li><li>Exposure to manufacturing environment, including dust, noise and vibration. </li></ul>
