<p>Description</p> <p>This job is to do advanced work on repairs and maintenance for County buildings and property. You may work with a supervisor or lead a small team when needed.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Work with a crew supervisor to do the following tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Build forms for concrete projects </li><li>Pour and finish concrete (like sidewalks, curbs, and catch basins) </li><li>Remove and replace drainage pipes </li><li>Move materials from one place to another </li><li>Use a system to manage assets </li><li>Safely use power tools (like a jackhammer or saw) </li><li>Use hand tools (like rakes, shovels, and hammers) </li><li>Lay sod (grass) </li><li>Manage traffic while working (MOT) </li><li>Operate equipment (like a skid steer or mini excavator) </li><li>Other tasks as needed </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience, Licensing</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED and at least two years of general maintenance, construction, equipment operation, manual labor, or closely related work experience. </li><li>A valid driver's license and a good driving record. </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of construction and handling materials. </li><li>Know how to use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely. </li><li>Able to do physical work in different weather and outdoor conditions. </li><li>Good communication skills with your team and supervisors. </li><li>Able to solve problems and fix equipment or material issues. </li><li>It's good if you have experience with heavy machinery and construction tasks. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or Tuesday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. </li></ul> <p>This position requires hard work and teamwork, and it's a great opportunity for someone interested in construction and maintenance.</p>
