This position contributes to the educational program as a whole and the growth of the students.</p> <p>MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma. </li><li>CPR/First Aid </li><li>Successful completion of all required online health/safety courses. </li><li>3 years beyond high school graduation. </li><li>Previous Coaching experience preferred. </li><li>Experience working in a school setting and with others from diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Knowledge and understanding pertaining to sport, strategies, rules etc. </li><li>Understanding of Michigan High School Athletic Association rules and regulations. </li><li>Meet the guidelines set by the Woodhaven Brownstown School District. (Includes: drug screening/criminal background checks). </li></ul> <p>MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (May include but not be limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures. </li><li>Instructs and teaches skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement. </li><li>Plans and sets-up activities, practices and games. </li><li>Ensures a district approved coach is present at all practices and games. </li><li>Develops appropriate training programs and practice schedules. </li><li>Ensures proper cleaning, storage and maintenance of all athletic equipment, uniforms and updated inventories are prepared in collaboration with Head Coach. </li><li>Ensures appropriate behavior of student athletes including locker room, bus, practices, etc. </li><li>Follows school rules and Woodhaven Brownstown School District regulations regarding conduct and eligibility of athletic activities. </li><li>Maintains a safe environment and facilities for student athletes in accordance with Athletic Department Guidance. </li><li>Follow all MHSAA rules and Guidelines, including appropriate certification for coaches. </li><li>Reports rosters to the Athletic Director in a timely manner. </li><li>Provides a proper end of the year report including needed items as deemed by the Athletic Director. </li><li>Professionally represents the school and the district in interactions with students, parents, community, staff and the media. </li></ul> <p>Attachment(s):</p> <ul> <li>Soccer Middle School Head Coach - Girls - 2024-2025.pdf </li></ul>
