<p>Title:</p> <p>Die Cast Engineering Quality Technician- Reports directly to the Die Casting Engineering Manager.</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Die Casting Engineering (DE)</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Die Cast Engineering Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of manufacturing processes by maintaining and inspecting manufactured parts. This position is responsible for identifying defects and implementing corrective actions to enhance product quality. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications and standards. Additionally, the role involves direct interaction with customers to address any quality concerns and provide solutions. Ultimately, the technician's efforts contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturing operations.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular inspections </li><li>Track and document defects, implementing corrective actions as necessary. </li><li>Handle product reviews and claims, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues. </li><li>Sort and file paperwork or parts related to die cast defect and quality assurance. </li><li>Sort parts at customer locations to judge defects. </li><li>Provide reporting to Process Engineering for improvements. </li><li>Confirm return parts after arrival and transfer into appropriate containers for recycling. </li><li>Travel to customer locations 3-4 days per week to provide direct support and address quality concerns. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experience in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Experience with defect tracking and quality management systems. </li><li>Experience with customer claims </li></ul>
