<p>Mechanical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will collaborate with the engineering team to develop design solutions that meet the context, budget, and aesthetic requirements of building projects. The individual will possess the ability to analyze and comprehend design intent, producing efficient and effective technical design solutions. You will coordinate with other professional disciplines and manage the design process through all phases of the project using your expertise in building engineering systems, materials, codes, and construction technologies.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Design components of the overall building, integrating architectural design while adhering to applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements. </li><li>Evaluate engineering design requirements and create drawings to support construction projects. </li><li>Perform engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and building systems research, layout of components, and calculation of program and building areas. </li><li>Evaluate site conditions, including zoning requirements and site constraints, and conduct site surveys and field reviews to document existing and new construction conditions. </li><li>Synthesize, interpret, and coordinate technical information to write engineering specifications for Project Manuals. </li><li>Review project products, services, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project documents, relevant jurisdictional codes, and corporate quality controls. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering. </li><li>Proficient in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP, as well as mechanical engineering systems design software. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of building mechanical systems and multiple building types. </li><li>Familiarity with architectural design concepts and building codes. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE) license or in the process of obtaining it. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, building design, and MEP. </li><li>Strong understanding of building design and engineering concepts. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, PA.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $140000.00/yr.</p> <p>Paid Holidays Ten (10) paid holidays annually Personal Time Off (PTO) Employees are entitled to a minimum of three (3) weeks of PTO annually. After 3 years of related experience, they would receive four (4) weeks and with 10+ years of related experience, they would be entitled to five (5) weeks. Share Purchase Plan Shares are managed in accordance with the Shareholders Agreement and are subject to approval by the Board of Directors. 401k Savings Plan Full-time and part-time employees may participate in the Company's 401k Plan. Typically, a Company contribution is made annually based on all eligible earnings after completion of the qualifying period. The percentage of contribution is approved at the Board level on an annual basis based on Company profit. Personal Employee contributions may be made after 3 months of service. Company paid benefit plans include Basic Life Insurance (1x Annual Salary to a maximum of $200,000) as well as Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage (1x Annual Salary to a maximum of $200,000). Employees may also choose from several voluntary insurance plans at their cost, including added life insurance, spousal and child life insurance, critical illness and/or accident coverage for employee and dependents. Sick Leave & Wage Continuation Full-time employees are entitled to sick leave with compensation in accordance with the Short-Term Salary Continuation and Long-Term Disability policies.
