<p>The Instructional Technology Consultant is responsible for performing a variety of professional and administrative duties that facilitate critical operations in support of academics and the student experience. This position provides a full range of software and desktop computer and printer support, audio and video technical support and training to students, faculty and staff. Other responsibilities include preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Variable work schedule is required including evening, weekend, and special events assignments.</p> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with two or more years of experience in electronic and mechanical technology/computer science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. </li><li>Outstanding customer service, communication, and organizational skills is essential as well as the ability to work well with and supervise student workers. </li></ul> <p>Skills and Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>The ability to work a variable work schedule is a must and there is occasional evening, weekend, and special events assignments. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support, maintain and troubleshoot classroom presentation systems, computer software/hardware, printers as well as audio and video equipment. </li><li>Image and setup computers, prebuild AV systems for installation. </li><li>Provide training and instruction to students, faculty and staff. </li><li>Preventative maintenance for classroom presentation systems. </li><li>Support and troubleshoot computer applications (including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office and web-based videoconferencing applications). </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Standing 30% of the shift. Sitting 20% of the shift. Walking 30% of the shift. Frequent kneeling and stooping 10% of the shift. </li><li>Able to lift up to 40 pounds. Able to push/pull and hold weight up to 40 pounds and carry weight at least 20 ft. </li><li>Wrist and finger dexterity sufficient to use and operate a variety of hand tools and manipulate small objects. </li><li>Reading, writing, basic arithmetic, analyzing data, problem solving, and conducting research is performed daily. </li><li>May be exposed to dust, strong odors, chemicals, oil and solvents. </li></ul> <p>Tools/Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Operate equipment, including telephone, computer/electronic equipment, hand and power tools. </li></ul> <p>Application Instructions</p> <p>In addition to completing an online application, please attach a resume and cover letter.</p>
