We win work by knowing the smartest way to make complex parts and backing it up with consistent quality.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <p>As a Manufacturing Estimator, you won't just estimate cycle times. You'll define how we make the part: what machines, what sequence, and where automation adds value.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who understands modern CNC capabilities and how to reduce cost through smart process choices. Strike the right balance between speed and accuracy of quotes. Dive deep when it meaningfully impacts cost, and rely on sound judgement or historical data when it doesn't.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze 2D/3D CAD files, prints, and specs to develop manufacturing plans </li><li>Select appropriate machine types (e.g. 5-axis, mill-turn, pallet pool, cobot tending) based on geometry, tolerance, and quantity </li><li>Create routings, assign cycle times, materials, and outsource steps as needed </li><li>Collaborate with engineering and sales to ensure quotes are complete and competitive </li><li>Work with purchasing to gather accurate supplier and outsourcing costs </li><li>Stay current on machining technology, tooling strategies, and automation options </li><li>Support continuous improvement of the estimating process and quoting tools </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or estimating (multi-axis, mill-turn, or automation experience preferred) </li><li>Solid understanding of manufacturing costs and process efficiency for production volumes </li><li>Ability to read blueprints, apply GD&T, and make practical decisions about manufacturability </li><li>Knowledge of Excel and CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks, Mastercam) </li><li>Experience building routings in ERP systems (JobBOSS or similar) </li><li>Comfortable working independently, but collaborative with sales and engineering </li><li>Meet the definition of a U.S. Person, as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Experience quoting or estimating in a production job shop environment </li><li>Exposure to lights-out automation or robotic part handling </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Work with cutting-edge equipment and automation </li><li>Influence how parts are made, not just what they cost </li><li>Collaborate with a tight-knit team that values precision and professionalism </li></ul> <p>KLH Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
