Find your future with us.</p> <p>Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Estimating Team Lead to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri. As a Senior Estimating Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the team in the development of estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities. This assignment will support multiple Phantom Works division teams and a variety of internal and external customers.</p> <p>Phantom Works is Boeing Defense, Space and Security's (BDS) sophisticated research and development organization that is responsible for engaging customers through groundbreaking visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program</p> </li><li> <p>Leads development and application of complex estimating and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques</p> </li><li> <p>Guides business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing</p> </li><li> <p>Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals and other related business decision data</p> </li><li> <p>Provide fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams, as required</p> </li><li> <p>Support, prepare and brief senior leader-level presentations, as required</p> </li><li> <p>Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in at least one of the following fields: Business, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics</p> </li><li> <p>2+ years of experience in a business-related role</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in proposal process management</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of experience in a business-related role</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using data analysis to drive decision making</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work under tight deadlines with competing priorities</p> </li></ul> <p>Drug Free Workplace:</p> <p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits:</p> <p>At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
