<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Charlotte, NC.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the Commodity Circle in respective area of responsibility with support of cross-functional team members </li></ul> <p>Commodity Management:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the commodities for respective area of responsibility </li><li>Define the Ecosystem strategy in the respective area of responsibility with cross functional counterparts and support from GCMs and in alignment with business </li><li>Ensure transparency on cost structures and spend in area of responsibility via Commodity Circles </li><li>Create and implement business specific initiatives and measures based on respective commodity strategy in alignment with Ecosystem strategy and business objectives </li><li>Increase Managed Spend in the area of responsibility by safeguarding awardings following the defined commodity strategy </li><li>Maintain competitive supply base in alignment with Ecosystem strategy and Commodity Circle </li><li>Execute periodic strategic procurement activities - negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy and sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings, etc. </li><li>Prepare, negotiate, award and make available frame contracts and price lists for strategic suppliers in accordance with business and market requirements (in alignment with GCM) </li><li>Manage the relationship with assigned strategic suppliers (in alignment with GCM) </li><li>Generate, document and implement savings measures, monitor and report relevant KPI </li><li>Drive early procurement/supplier involvement and cost out activities via respective Commodity Circles </li><li>Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures </li><li>Feedback supplier market information and knowledge to stakeholders through network </li><li>Drive supply/supplier management processes (e.g., qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification)* BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field </li><li>A minimum of 6-12 years' of collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering or similar function in machinery industries </li><li>Strategic thinking and analytical skills: Experience utilizing financial and data-driven techniques to make decisions </li><li>Strong Communication & interpersonal skills: Understand main mechanical manufacturing processes and be able to communicate basic mechanical topics with supplier and internal cross functions </li><li>Know-how of procurement related processes, systems and tools: Familiar with SAP and Productivity Management System </li><li>Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. </li><li>Cost & risk management skills: Mature understanding of multiple aspects of supply chain value stream; Supplier financial risk evaluation & management; Supply Chain Risk evaluation & management </li><li>Commodity & product knowledge: Individual must be able to quickly develop comprehensive understanding of each commodity, and subsequentially complex sourcing strategies </li><li>Commercial knowledge, contract law and T&C; Experience managing Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions </li><li>Negotiations and supplier relations management experience </li><li>Good problem solving, results oriented </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a matrixed global organization </li><li>Must be able to travel 10-15% both domestically and internationally </li><li>Must be willing to learn and drive a change in a global environment, along with ability to influence through effective verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Collaborative approach to working within a team environment; A consensus builder </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Power Generation Industry </li><li>Data Analysis/Science skills </li><li>Hybrid working minimum 3 days a week in office </li></ul>
