This position will research, formulate, and develop material for staff training throughout the agency and implement training programs focused on business needs and compliance with State and federal regulations related to general Employee Development, Unemployment Insurance, Reemployment Services, Labor Market Information, labor laws and other programs. This will consist of the development of online and classroom content for all teammates and other courses to meet the Agency objectives and needs. The Training Coordinator will meet with key division leadership to develop and review training needs and objectives, organize and lead groups to develop specific training for the agency, division or large facility.</p> </li><li> <p>The initial and primary focus of this position will be to develop and deliver in-depth detailed training to newly hired Unemployment Insurance Claim Specialists and Adjudicators, focusing on laws, regulations, procedures and the use of essential proprietary software systems. Develop and deliver additional modules to further working knowledge to aid staff as needed. Once this initiative is successfully underway, identify, develop and deliver critical job specific training to other staff across the agency in areas such as reemployment programs, and labor standards. Additional initiatives may include general workforce soft skill training.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluation & Measurement of Training Needs Assessments of Agency: Conduct skills gap analysis/needs analysis of employees, as well as determine and administer various types of training evaluations, such as course evaluations, exams, retention of content surveys, and return-on-investment of training. Conduct program assessments to determine effectiveness of learning opportunities to develop and implement changes to course curriculum, delivery materials and identify agency needs to be addressed by developing new learning programs. Conduct long-term planning and anticipate future training needs of agency. Partner with team members and agency leaders to set project metrics; measure and report results.</p> </li><li> <p>Build partnerships with individuals at all levels of the agency, as well as vendors outside of the agency such as other state agencies, colleges, universities, and other training associations. Work collaboratively within agency.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience using a Learning Management System. Provide ongoing End-User Support of LMS throughout Agency.</p> </li><li> <p>Applicants must be prepared to make a presentation at the time of interview.</p> </li></ul> <p>Location: This is an on-site position and will be based at the NDOL Administration Building, 550 South 16th Street, Lincoln, NE</p> <p>Schedule: 8am-5pm; Monday-Friday</p> <p>Requirements / Qualifications:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications: Four years' experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others through formal training, workshops, seminars, or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum. Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, organization communication, training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications: Experience as an Unemployment Insurance Adjudicator, Labor Standards, or similar. Bachelor's Degree or Experience in Training and Development, Curriculum Development, or Instructional Design or post high school coursework/training in education, adult education, curriculum development, workshop/seminar planning development with 2 or more years' experience in adult education. Proven experience in planning, developing, conducting and evaluating training/ development programs. Supervisor experience helpful in leading Leadership Development Training topics. Extensive experience using MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, professional e-mail management system and Internet; to include the use of formulas and database development. Experience with Adobe Captivate, Articulate or other e-learning software.</p> <p>Other: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.</p> <p>Knowledge, skills, and abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of: adult learning principles and learning methodologies, curriculum development, training evaluation techniques and multimedia instruction performance assessment and analysis processes learning technology, and distance learning. Must possess strong written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and must be able to demonstrate effective classroom and facilitation skills.</p> <p>Skill in: handling disruptive behavior and working with learning disabilities. Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.</p> <p>Ability to: determine agency training needs; develop learning opportunities; prepare training courses or information; operate multi-media technology to present training or instruction; present learning material effectively; maintain effective working relationships with audience.
