<p>Title: Adjunct Faculty-Astronomy</p> <p>Employee Classification: Adjunct Faculty</p> <p>Institution: Roane State Community College</p> <p>Department: Math Science</p> <p>Campus Location: Roane State Community College</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Adjunct faculty to teach college level courses in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>ASTR 1010 -Solar System Astronomy </li><li>ASTR 1020 - Stars and Galaxies Astronomy </li></ul> <p>Job Duties</p> <p>Teaching students on-ground lecture courses.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates qualifying to teach Astronomy courses must have a minimum of a Master's degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields (Astronomy or Physics) from a regionally accredited institution.</p> <p>Candidates qualifying to teach Astronomy must have work experience in Astronomy.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Previous experience teaching lecture desired.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.</p> <p>Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.</p> <p>All applicant submissions must include CV/Resume and unofficial transcript attachments.</p> <p>Candidates who are called for an interview must notify Human Resources in writing of any reasonable accommodation needed prior to the date of the interview.</p> <p>Offer of employment contingent upon successful background check.</p>
