<p>Principal Function: The Finance Intern would be responsible for analyzing Conner Prairie's investment statements and preparing journal entries to record gains, losses, distributions, and other activities in the investments. The Finance Intern would also be responsible for preparing various Excel spreadsheets that are used for analysis by the Accounting Dept in day-to-day departmental activities.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and review Excel spreadsheets used by the Accounting Department to manage investments, revenue, and expenses. </li><li>Assist the A/R Specialist with analyzing and recording revenue. </li><li>Assist the A/R Specialist in reviewing and managing the documentation received from the investments. </li><li>Assist the A/P Specialist in analyzing monthly expenses. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Candidate is a current undergraduate college student majoring in Accounting or Finance </li><li>Strong Excel spreadsheet skills desired (e.g., knowledge of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation, and conditional formatting) </li><li>Extremely detail-oriented and strong organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Length of Internship/Hours/Rate of Pay:</p> <ul> <li>15 hours/week for 12 weeks </li><li>June-August 2026 </li><li>$14.00/hour for up to 180 hours </li><li>Will coordinate and flex schedule around academic commitments as necessary </li></ul> <p>Internship Benefits/Perks:</p> <ul> <li>Professional development; training and orientation </li><li>Practical professional experiences </li><li>Free parking and general admission to Conner Prairie </li><li>Free admission to Conner Prairie events </li><li>Discounts at the Conner Prairie Store and café </li><li>Recommendation letters from staff and documentation of hours served </li></ul>
