<p>Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume)</p> <p>PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Biostatistics or Statistics.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>? Demonstrated proficiency with longitudinal and regression methods (e.g., linear mixed models, generalized additive models), survival analysis, and meta-analysis.</p> <p>? Experience with version control and reproducible workflows.</p> <p>? Effective communication skills, including the ability to translate statistical results for clinical audiences and to teach non-statisticians.</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>The Postdoctoral Associate will work under the supervision of Dr. Jie Yang in the Department of Family, Population, and Preventive Medicine. Research areas may include clinical trial design, environmental health, and other methodological and applied topics in biostatistics. The role also involves contributing to grant applications and manuscript development, as well as collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, and data managers, to ensure the accurate and effective application of statistical methodologies.</p> <p>Statistical Methodology Research:</p> <p>? Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and refine research directions.</p> <p>? Perform simulation studies and real data analyses using high performance computing resources.</p> <p>? Support for grant application.</p> <p>? Prepare draft manuscripts, assist with revisions, and address reviewers' comments.</p> <p>Collaborative Research:</p> <p>? Design and implement statistical analysis plans for clinical trials, research studies, and related projects.</p> <p>? Apply advanced statistical methods to analyze complex datasets and interpret findings.</p> <p>? Develop and validate statistical models that support scientific and clinical research objectives.</p> <p>? Present statistical results and insights to non-statistical audiences in a clear and accessible manner.</p> <p>Mentorship & Training:</p> <p>? Provide guidance and mentorship to junior statisticians, trainees, and other team members.</p> <p>? Conduct training sessions on statistical methods, programming, and analytical tools as needed.</p> <p>Quality Assurance:</p> <p>? Ensure adherence to best practices in data quality, code review, documentation, and reproducible workflows.</p> <p>? Stay current with advances in biostatistics and institutional/ethical standards relevant to biomedical data science.</p> <p>? Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Special Notes:</p> <p>The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
