<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>12 Hour Night Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>:</p> <p>Trinity Health is looking for an onsite Virtual Monitoring Attendant, who will work on campus at Loyola University Medical Center. This role works with more than 20 Trinity Health Hospitals to continuously monitor up to 16 patients at all levels of inpatient care, watching for subtle changes in patient behavior, and is responsible for assisting nursing staff in their safety.</p> <p>The ideal candidate for this role communicates effectively with patients, nursing staff, and fellow colleagues to maintain a safe work environment and ensure optimal patient safety and comfort.</p> <p>This Role Will Be Responsible For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Continuous visual alertness without distraction of a computer screen containing 12-16 active patients</p> </li><li> <p>Remain alert to 12-16 active patients at all times while on duty; anticipates, recognizes and addresses harmful behaviors</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor patient behaviors and movements via closed circuit camera with pan/tilt/zoom capabilities</p> </li><li> <p>Verbally redirect patients over digital 2-way audio device. Immediately alerts nursing staff as necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain calm, respectful, empathetic, and professional tone while verbally communicating with patients, staff, and fellow colleagues</p> </li><li> <p>Meet the expectations of nursing staff in order to keep patients safe</p> </li><li> <p>Provide detailed shift-to-shift report on patient activity to colleagues and nursing staff</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Mental capacity to verbally interact with 12-16 active patients in various levels of distress, and maintaining calm, focused demeanor while on duty</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work 12 hour shifts in a 24/7 healthcare environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work weekends and holidays, as required</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to orally and in writing, report on patient activity, as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Computer skills required, and will accompany on the job learning</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in healthcare preferred, but not required</p> </li><li> <p>Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $16.50 - $22.11 per hour</p> <p>Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.</p> <p>Trinity Health Benefits Summary</p> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
