<p>Overview:</p> <p>The Paraprofessional ensures the successful mastery of Circle City Prep's rigorous academic program for all students, focusing specifically on students with academic learning gaps or behavior needs through the provision of strategic and intensive supports. The Paraprofessional possesses the unwavering belief that all students at Circle City Prep, regardless of disabilities or diagnosis, can achieve greatness and provides effective academic, emotional, and physical services to students to support their mastery of Circle City Prep academic and character program.</p> <p>Background on the Organization:</p> <p>Circle City Prep a single-site K-8 charter school that is deeply committed to supporting all students to live up to their power and potential through a rigorous college prep education. Circle City Prep is built on research and best practices of high performing charter schools nationwide and is uniquely focused on educating students on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis. For the last four years, Circle City Prep has been the highest performing public school in our community with a 400+ student body, 90%+ low-income and 30%+ multilingual students.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work in inclusive and special education setting alongside individual(s) with disabilities </li><li>Work collaboratively with special education team </li><li>Support with implementing ambitious, rigorous, and standards-aligned curricula, lesson and unit plans, and activities to meet and exceed academic targets </li><li>Support with providing engaging, differentiated, appropriately paced, and rigorous instruction to individual(s) with disabilities </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues </li><li>Build strong relationships with parents, students and colleagues, driving investment in school culture and academics through consistent, clear communication. </li><li>Participate in regular practice-based professional development and real-time coaching. </li><li>Participate in additional school activities including field trips, intensive academic support sessions, and other required programs as needed throughout the year </li><li>Commit to teach an extended daily schedule: 7:10am - 4:15pm. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>To be considered as a Paraprofessional, you must:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of college completion is preferred </li><li>Belief in and alignment with Circle City Prep's core values and educational philosophy is non-negotiable. </li><li>Health Insurance (Includes Vision & Dental) </li><li>Short and Long-Term Disability </li><li>Automatic Employer Retirement Contribution </li><li>Employee Assistance Program Benefits </li><li>Provided technology </li></ul>
