At Cleveland Clinic, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>J6-6 Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Units</p> <p>The Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery Intensive Care Units specialize in the post-operative acute care of patients requiring heart surgery, open and endovascular thoraco and abdominal aneurysm repairs, as well thoracic and other vascular surgical procedures. All post-operative patients come directly from the operating room and are recovered, stabilized, weaned and extubated in these units. The unit accepts complex patients from other facilities that may be have had surgical complications or those needing further evaluation for patients that other facilities may not have considered to be surgical candidates.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00AM - 7:30PM or 7:00PM - 7:30AM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide direct nursing care.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer prescribed medications and treatments.</p> </li><li> <p>Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients and their families.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)</p> </li><li> <p>One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within first year of employment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.</p> </li><li> <p>Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $33.50</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $53.60</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
