<p>Job Title: Groundskeeper</p> <p>Department: Maintenance</p> <p>Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm</p> <p>Facility location: Chester CT</p> <p>Summary: Performs outside maintenance and maintains the grounds.</p> <p>Scope</p> <ul> <li>Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through a combination of job related training and considerable on-the-job experience. </li><li>Completes assignments daily. </li><li>Proposes improvements to processes. </li><li>Works autonomously within established procedures and practices. </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Under minimal supervision, maintains the outside of the facilities. </li><li>Make sure all lawns, grounds and flower beds are maintained to Whelen standards. </li><li>Adapts to new procedures, techniques, tools, material and or equipment to meet the more complex requirements of the position. </li><li>Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish assigned tasks and goals with other grounds personnel. </li><li>Mows and dresses up the Whelen property. </li><li>Repairs all gardens so they look the best they can. </li><li>Ability to work under presser and to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with employees and supervisors. </li><li>Run equipment that you are qualified on with care. </li><li>Remove snow and maintain a safe working environment. </li><li>Work with the JIRA system to ensure everything is documented. </li></ul>
