<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>To be the liaison between Management and Hourly employees; directs the daily activities of maintenance employees; ensures the department is performing in a Safe and quality-conscious manner; ensures that all required plant safety and performance testing is performed; directs actions to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the department.</p> <p>SAFETY AND PROCEDURES</p> <ul> <li>Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures and JIBS applicable to the job. </li><li>Use appropriate PPE that has been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role. </li><li>Encourage, attend, and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits, and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned. </li><li>Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified. </li><li>Participate in weekly department safety walk-thru, cultivate self-driven department safety teams, coordinate maintenance safety projects </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>SAFETY </li><li>Promote completion of BBS Observations </li><li>As necessary, complete accident investigation forms within 24 hours </li><li>As necessary, address safety items from Maintenance as well as other departments </li><li>QUALITY </li><li>Support adherence to ISO Standards </li><li>Understand and maintain Department Quality Standards </li><li>ENGAGEMENT </li><li>Recommend merit increases </li><li>Complete/ Drive employee evaluations </li><li>Initiate/ Drive employee recognition </li><li>Monitor/ Evaluate training needs </li><li>Lead/ Participate in communication meetings </li><li>Encourage participation in continuing education </li><li>Participate in communication meetings </li><li>Participate in focus groups </li><li>TPM, CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT & LEAN </li><li>Lead TPM programs </li><li>Drive all CI projects and initiatives </li><li>Implement actions to improve Lean culture in the department </li></ul> <p>o Establish schedules/ man power (as required)</p> <p>o Monitor shortfalls</p> <p>o Establish actions to RTG</p> <ul> <li>TIER MEETINGS </li><li>Lead/ Facilitate daily Tier 1 Meetings </li><li>Participate in daily Tier 2 and Tier 3 meetings </li><li>Pre-meeting, review Supervisors Standard Work </li><li>Ensure Red-to-Green items are addressed as necessary </li><li>Cover Safety items as necessary </li><li>Direct Ergonomic Stretching exercises </li><li>5S </li><li>Ensure 5S standard is maintained by performing 5S walk-through at beginning of shift and continuously monitoring 5S during shift </li><li>ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES </li><li>Input time and attendance in ADP </li><li>Review Supervisor Standard Work with Area Manager </li><li>Daily Department reviews with Area Manager </li><li>Yearly employee evaluations </li><li>Recognition and Disciplinary procedures with employees as required </li><li>Participate in periodic plant-wide assessments </li><li>Review Technicians Standard Work </li><li>Monitor WIP, SP, and raw materials (continuous) spare parts </li><li>Coordinate with all departments to facilitate throughput </li><li>Prepare requisitions for approval </li><li>Maintain visual control over CI boards </li><li>Maintain and update the monthly TPM chart </li><li>Understanding and use of SAP to track history and forecast possible issues before they arise. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li>High interpersonal skills </li><li>Must lead by example </li><li>Must understand and exemplify company policies </li><li>Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel </li><li>Mechanically inclined </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Supervisory or other Leader type role preferred; background in maintenance </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Must be willing to attend college to obtain a minimum 2-year degree in Business or other related field of study. </li></ul>
