The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural woodwork, precision machining, and quality craftsmanship to produce high-end moldings, profiles, and custom millwork components.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Set up, operate, and adjust a Weinig 6-head molder for production runs </li><li>Read and interpret shop drawings, profiles, and work orders </li><li>Select, install, and align cutter heads and tooling to meet specifications </li><li>Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production </li><li>Perform routine maintenance, blade changes, and troubleshooting </li><li>Inspect finished products for accuracy, finish, and consistency </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards </li><li>Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience operating a Weinig or similar industrial molder (preferred) </li><li>Strong understanding of architectural millwork and custom profiles </li><li>Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and profile templates </li><li>Knowledge of cutter head setup, tooling, feed speeds, and material handling </li><li>Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in high-end architectural or custom millwork shops </li><li>Familiarity with hardwoods, softwoods, and composite materials </li><li>Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay based on experience </li><li>Health, dental, and vision insurance </li><li>Paid time off and holidays </li><li>Retirement plan options </li><li>Opportunities for growth and advancement within South Shore Millwork </li></ul>
