<p>Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Senior Technical Project Manager - Mobile/WiFi</p> <p>Location: Greenwood Village, Colorado (DTC)</p> <ul> <li>Please note: This role is not eligible for remote work. Our teams go beyond the expected to help clients move confidently through ambiguity and risk and drive more transformative outcomes.</p> <p>The Senior Technical Project Manager is a senior delivery consultant responsible for leading complex, cross-functional technical programs. This role drives end-to-end delivery of high-impact Mobile and WiFi initiatives, translating technical requirements into executable plans while ensuring alignment across engineering, architecture, operations, product, and business stakeholders.</p> <p>The PM owns program planning, risk and dependency management, stakeholder communications, and overall execution quality. This role is well-suited for an experienced consultant who can navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and maintain strong delivery discipline across highly interdependent technical initiatives.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ol> <li>Technical Program Leadership </li></ol> <ul> <li>Lead complex Mobile/WiFi technical programs from concept through delivery, including planning, execution, and deployment. </li><li>Translate technical concepts and requirements into clearly defined scope, milestones, and actionable work plans. </li><li>Coordinate delivery across teams to meet program objectives. </li><li>Act as a hands-on delivery leader, driving progress and accountability across multiple teams. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Requirements & Technical Alignment </li></ol> <ul> <li>Partner with architects, engineers, and product owners to capture, document, and validate technical requirements and dependencies. </li><li>Clarify requirements to ensure feasibility, scalability, and alignment with architectural standards and delivery constraints. </li><li>Maintain accurate and current documentation, including requirements, technical assumptions, integration points, and key design decisions. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Risk & Issue Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Identify, analyze, and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple teams and platforms. </li><li>Develop mitigation and contingency plans, proactively driving issue resolution and escalation when needed. </li><li>Maintain RAID logs and ensure risks and issues are clearly communicated to leadership and stakeholders. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for Mobile/WiFi programs. </li><li>Facilitate cross-functional meetings, technical reviews, and decision forums with clear outcomes, ownership, and follow-through. </li><li>Tailor communication for diverse audiences, including executive leaders, technical teams, operations partners, and external vendors. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Program Planning & Execution Excellence </li></ol> <ul> <li>Build and maintain integrated program plans, including timelines, milestones, resource needs, and inter-team dependencies. </li><li>Build and maintain accurate and up-to-date Jira tickets to reflect delivery status, dependencies, and execution progress. </li><li>Track execution against plan, identify variances early, and drive corrective actions to maintain delivery commitments. </li><li>Manage change control processes, ensuring impacts to scope, schedule, and risk are fully understood and approved. </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li>Reporting & Communications </li></ol> <ul> <li>Provide regular, concise status reporting to leadership and stakeholders through dashboards, executive summaries, and program readouts. </li><li>Highlight key achievements, upcoming milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision points. </li><li>Ensure program documentation and artifacts remain current, accessible, and aligned with PMO standards. </li></ul> <ol start="7"> <li>Process & Delivery Improvement </li></ol> <ul> <li>Champion best practices in technical program management, leveraging Agile, Scaled Agile, hybrid, or waterfall methodologies as appropriate. </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve cross-team coordination, governance, and delivery predictability. </li><li>Contribute to PMO standards, templates, and playbooks supporting Mobile/WiFi initiatives. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. </li><li>7+ years of experience in technical project or program management, including at least 3+ years in telecom, wireless, networking, or closely related domains. </li><li>Proven experience leading complex, multi-team technical programs with significant integration and dependency management. </li><li>Strong ability to understand and discuss technical architectures, network components, and system interactions across Mobile, WiFi, or Wireless environments. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in risk management, dependency management, and structured issue resolution. </li><li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical topics for non-technical audiences. </li><li>Experience working in highly matrixed environments with engineering, operations, and product teams. </li><li>Strong proficiency with project management tools and delivery methods, including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar platforms. </li><li>Consulting experience </li><li>Ability to work independently and with teams </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience delivering Mobile/WiFi services, wireless network deployments, or large-scale network transformation initiatives. </li><li>Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models for network or platform programs. </li><li>Relevant certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent. </li></ul> For this position, the hourly pay range is $58 to $64/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
