<p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required.</p> <p>ODEW Early Childhood Intervention Specialist License required; OR Kindergarten Primary or Kindergarten Elementary Certificate with Early Education of the Handicapped validation or Prekindergarten Special Needs endorsement required; OR willingness to obtain the required licensure after hire per ODEW timelines.</p> <p>Successful completion of a physical, BCI/FBI background check and multiple database background checks as defined by Rule 5123-2-02.</p> <p>Must be physically capable to lift, carry and move children in a safe manner.</p> <p>DUTIES:</p> <p>Instructs preschoolers with disabilities and their typcially developing peers in a formal classroom setting.</p> <p>Also Instructs preschoolers with disabilities in any environment per the child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Instruction could take place at another preschool, a childcare center, the child's home, or another location in the community.</p> <p>Assists the interdisciplinary team in evaluating students for determination of eligibility according to the Operating Standards for Ohio Educational Agencies Serving Children with Disabilties.</p> <p>Writes compliant IEPs and collaborates with other IEP team members to ensure completion.</p> <p>Assesses student's current status in relation to the curriculum, evaluates and formulates new IEP goals/objectives.</p> <p>Develops instructional procedures & methodologies based on the IEP and the learning characteristics of the student.</p> <p>Implements instructional activities that are developmentally appropriate in a setting that fosters independence, decision making, self-control, communication, socialization, and functional skills.</p> <p>Conducts parent teacher conferences and maintains ongoing communication with parents.</p> <p>Follows the curriculum as adopted by the school in accordance with the Department of Children and Youth (DCY) guidelines for preschool.</p> <p>Develops appropriate lesson plans and instructional activities in a play-based environment.</p> <p>Writes transition reports and completes school age Evaluation Team Report (ETR) information for students entering kindergarten.</p> <p>Attends workshops, meetings, conferences, and classes that will enhance the performance & knowledge of the instructor.</p> <p>Completes all needed training for maintaining Step-Up-To-Quality (STUQ) and DCY requirements.</p> <p>Performs related duties as assigned by the Preschool Supervisor.</p> <p>HOURS:</p> <p>37.5 hours per week during the academic school year (192 days).</p> <p>Workday will start at the Russia Classroom at 7:30am. Itinerant duties will be performed in the afteroon.</p> <p>Monday thru Thursday = 7:30am to 3:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm.</p> <p>COMPENSATION:</p> <p>Pay starting between $42,581 and $61,819 (Bachelor's) or $46,944 and $67,910 (Mater's), based on relevant experience.</p> <p>Benefits include State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio; basic life, medical, dental, vision insurance; paid sick and personal leave.</p> <p>Nine paid Federal Holidays and extended holiday period in December.</p>
