This position offers a unique opportunity to combine academic practice with high-quality community-based cancer care across a network of well-established practices.</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>Join a vibrant and growing Division of Hematology/Oncology, which includes:</p> <ul> <li> <p>28 Board-Certified Physicians and 31 Advanced Practice Providers</p> </li><li> <p>An integrated, multidisciplinary Cancer Center of Excellence focused on clinical care and innovation</p> </li><li> <p>Access to state-of-the-art clinical and research facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Affiliation with the UMass Chan Medical School, a nationally ranked academic institution</p> </li></ul> <p>This role offers a dynamic mix of clinical care, teaching, research, and leadership opportunities with a clinical focus on gastrointestinal malignancies.</p> <p>Key Highlights:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Primary clinical focus: Gastrointestinal cancers across inpatient and outpatient settings</p> </li><li> <p>Clinic schedule: 8 half-day sessions per week, average of 8 patients per session</p> </li><li> <p>Protected administrative time: 1 day per week</p> </li><li> <p>Electronic Medical Record: Epic</p> </li><li> <p>Practice sites may include Worcester and either Leominster or Marlborough</p> </li><li> <p>Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards, fellowship curriculum, and conferences</p> </li><li> <p>Academic appointment at UMass Chan Medical School, commensurate with experience</p> </li><li> <p>Opportunities for involvement in teaching, clinical research, quality improvement, community outreach, and leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package</p> </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology/Oncology</p> </li><li> <p>MD or DO degree and eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure</p> </li><li> <p>A strong commitment to patient-centered clinical care</p> </li><li> <p>Interest in academic medicine, including teaching and clinical research</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Central Massachusetts?</p> <p>Worcester, the second largest city in New England, offers a vibrant, culturally rich, and welcoming community.
