<p>SUMMARY: The Director of Human Resources strategically leads the company's Human Resources operations. This role aligns recruitment, training, compliance, and compensation practices with overall business objectives to create a motivated and compliant workforce.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and direct overall strategy and ensure processes support the company's mission </li><li>Manage recruiting and staffing practices to attract and retain top talent </li><li>Oversee employee development, performance management, and succession planning </li><li>Ensure regulatory compliance and develop policies that guide operations </li><li>Foster positive employee relations and address conflicts effectively </li><li>Design and administer competitive compensation packages, including workers compensation, pension, and 401(k) plans </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>This role oversees the Human Resources Department </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related area </li><li>10+ years' experience of increasing responsibility in Human Resources leadership positions </li><li>Labor relations experience </li><li>Extensive knowledge of health & welfare </li><li>Extensive knowledge of pension plans </li><li>Extensive knowledge of 401(k) administration </li><li>Familiarity and understanding of employment laws and regulations including the Railway Labor Act, EEO, Affirmative Action, ERISA, FMLA, USERRA, wage and hour laws, workplace health & safety and workers compensation </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office products </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Development </li><li>SPHR certification </li><li>Financial and accounting knowledge a plus </li></ul>
