<p>Job Posting End Date</p> <p>04-21-2026</p> <p>Please note the job posting will close on the day before the posting end date</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Provide financial and utility industry analysis for business unit strategic initiatives. Provide data to monitor the applicable business unit and offer solutions to improve the business unit organization's efficiency. Work closely with the business unit management to analyze industry trends and best practices. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the business unit organization, and with internal and external customers. This work will be completed under close supervision.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and compile Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are measurable outcomes (scope, budgeting, schedule performance, cost performance, forecasting, etc.) Providing strong teamwork with colleagues, vendors and/or customers. </li><li>Understand the AEP project/work management organizational standards and assist in the management of projects to those standards </li><li>Perform varied assignments demonstrating technical knowledge and analytical techniques to provide solution of problems or analysis. </li><li>Communicate with project team, resources, and other internal and external stakeholders on various budgetary items. </li><li>Work with others in both supplying information and seeking assistance as necessary. </li><li>Develop reports to support strategies and monitor on a monthly or quarterly basis. </li><li>Collaborate with project personnel to ensure compliance. Create and conduct program level reporting and analysis using work management data systems. </li><li>Maintain, interpret and analyze pertinent data and make presentations to internal and external customers. </li><li>Participate in process improvement initiatives related to financial and operational processes. </li><li>Lead or participate in training initiatives of employees and contractors related to financial and operational processes and related systems and software applications. </li><li>Lead or participate in special studies or projects as may be assigned. </li><li>Create project breakdown structures. </li><li>Perform some departmental organizational functions when necessary and as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of project functions. </li><li>Recommend improvements that enhance the role, project performance, and AEP's performance in regard to service and product delivery as well as environmental and community stewardship. </li><li>Make decisions and contribute to team decision making and consensus building. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For:</p> <p>With a qualified Bachelor's degree, one (1) year of qualified experience; with a qualified Associate's degree, three (3) years' qualified experience; with a High School Diploma or GED, four (4) years' experience as a Project Coordinator Associate (grade 005).</p> <ul> <li>Qualified degrees must be in a related field from an accredited university or college and could include Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management. </li><li>Qualified experience includes utility specific operations knowledge/experience with a good working knowledge of work processes and procedures. </li><li>Experience should be in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, and project budgets, working with accounting principles, and/or construction or maintenance of systems and/or equipment. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate ability to manage time effectively and efficiently. Show capability of having organizational and planning skills, as well as having an aptitude for accuracy, attention to detail and ability to achieve goals </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Listen and identify customer needs/wants. </li><li>Effectively communicate with team, management, customers, contractors, vendors and regulatory agencies. </li><li>Team player with ability to work and collaborate well with others. </li><li>Must be proficient in the operation of computer systems in a Windows environment and have the ability to learn new and complex systems. </li><li>Immediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to develop complex spreadsheets </li><li>Some travel, including overnight, may be required. On rare occasions, temporary relocation might be required to complete projects. </li><li>Ability to apply problem solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.Cognos, EcoSys, and/or Maximo experience is required. </li><li>Availability to work overtime, call-out overtime and shift work, may be required depending on business unit. </li><li>Safely and effectively perform light physical duties at various work sites including home and AEP locations in varying conditions. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) When it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time, but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg c ontrols; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
