<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Dietitian is responsible for the development and implementation of high quality, comprehensive nutritional care for the supported living facility.</p> <p>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Maintains an active role in the development and implementation of the holistic nutrition program including providing nutrition counseling, psycho educational workshops and presentations and groups, as well as creating nutrition related resource materials for clients. </li><li>Instructs and train staff on the principles of basic nutrition and nutrition in recovery, including the provision of nutrition related materials and counseling tools to be used with clients. </li><li>Provides counseling to individuals and groups on basic principles of good health, balanced eating habits, mindful eating and physical activity for improved quality of life. </li><li>Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for clients. </li><li>Plans client's special diets and supervise and instruct clients during meal preparations. </li><li>Eats one meal each week with each house/program and facilitate a discussion group with the clients at the close of the meal, if applicable. </li><li>Performs routine care responsibilities. </li><li>Collaborates with Director of Clinical Operations, Director of Nursing, and Medical Director as well as with the multi-disciplinary treatment team. </li><li>Utilizes understanding of diverse cultures and gender responsive issues and incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice setting. </li><li>Manages and prioritize organizational demands. </li><li>Maintains EMR documentation. </li><li>Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>JOB QUALIFICAITONS</p> <ul> <li>Registered Dietitian certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. </li><li>Minimum of two (2) years' experience working with adults in a clinical setting. </li><li>Experience performing Nutrition Assessments in a clinical setting. </li><li>Experience providing individual and group nutrition counseling and education. </li><li>Experience working with individuals with eating disorders. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Food/Nutrition/Dietetics from an accredited college or university </li><li>Working knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders. </li><li>Professional knowledge of eating disorders to include disordered eating (overeating, binging) </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communications skills. </li><li>Computer literacy. </li><li>Outstanding customer service skills. </li><li>Ability to take direction and make sound decisions. </li><li>Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times. </li><li>Master's degree in Food/Nutrition/Dietetics from an accredited college or university. </li><li>CPR/First Aid Certification is required for this position. If not CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire, certification must be obtained within the state mandated time frame after first day of employment. </li></ul>
