The Nebraska Department of Labor is seeking a motivated, community-minded professional to serve as a Veterans Reemployment Coordinator in a unique consolidated role combining duties of both the Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) and the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist.</p> <p>The role supports both employer engagement and direct service to veterans-especially those facing barriers to employment. This person must be extremely self-motivated, proactive, and a real go-getter-someone who thrives in a fast-paced, independent role and takes initiative to support both veterans and employers. Experience working with workforce development programs, including WIOA, VETS, or DOL grants, working with individuals who face employment barriers; working in outreach, recruiting, sales, or employer engagement. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.</p> <p>Other: MUST BE A VETERAN OF MILITARY SERVICE. Preference will be given in this order: 1) Qualified service-connected disabled Veteran; 2) Qualified eligible veteran. To verify veteran status, the DD214 and other necessary paperwork needs to be submitted with the application.
