<p>We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health!</p> <p>Organization:</p> <p>SPMF-Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation - North</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>Competently performs diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values and mission of the organization. Responsible for all commonly performed echocardiography procedures in the department with a high level of competence.</p> <p>In addition to those performed by the Level I performs:</p> <ul> <li>Transesophageal echocardiograms with or without three dimensional imaging </li><li>Intra operative transesophageal echocardiograms </li><li>Structural Heart Procedures in the cardiac Cath lab </li><li>complex congenital pediatric echocardiograms </li></ul> <p>May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac sonography examinations using established procedures, policies and practices to ensure optimal results. </li><li>Operates a variety of complex stationary and mobile diagnostic equipment. </li><li>Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames. </li><li>Prepares for and assists physicians in a variety of diagnostic cardiac sonography and/or guidance imaging during invasive procedures. </li><li>Explains and educates the patient on the procedure, medications or contrast media, and associated biological effects in a clear and professional manner to alleviate fear and anxiety. </li><li>Mentors and fosters a constructive teaching environment that helps students and new technologists build confidence in their skills, knowledge and abilities. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Sonography Program. </li><li>OR Graduation from an accredited formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or equivalent education that meets the credentialing requirement pathway </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:</p> <ul> <li>RCS (CCI)-Registered Cardiac Sonographer </li><li>OR ARDMS (RDCS AE for adult or RDCS PE for pediatric) </li><li>BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>2 years recent relevant experience </li></ul> <p>Job Shift:</p> <p>Days</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Shift Hours:</p> <p>8</p> <p>Days of the Week:</p> <p>Variable</p> <p>Weekend Requirements:</p> <p>Occasionally</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Yes</p> <p>Unions:</p> <p>No</p> <p>Position Status:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Weekly Hours:</p> <p>32</p> <p>Employee Status:</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Sutter Health is an equal opportunity employer EOE/M/F/Disability/Veterans.</p> <p>Pay Range is $69.88 to $87.34 / hour</p> <p>The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
