<p>Non-Classified, Exempt position.</p> <p>Salary: $36,000-$40,000</p> <p>Reports to: Director of Admissions & Recruitment</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Admissions and Recruitment Specialist serves as a dynamic ambassador for Mountwest Community & Technical College, leading recruitment efforts to attract, engage, and enroll prospective students. This position plays a vital role in supporting the institution's enrollment goals by building relationships with prospective students, families, high school counselors, and community organizations, while guiding applicants through the admissions process.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Recruitment & Outreach:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Represent Mountwest at high schools, college fairs, community events, and other recruitment activities. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Conduct presentations to promote Mountwest's programs, services, and student life to diverse audiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain partnerships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen recruitment pipelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in on-campus recruitment events such as open houses, campus tours, information sessions, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Admissions Counseling:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Provide guidance to prospective students and families regarding academic programs, application procedures, and financial aid options. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Assist students with completing applications and resolving admissions-related issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with applicants at various stages of the admissions process to ensure a seamless and supportive experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Data Management & Reporting:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and applicant information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Analyze recruitment trends and provide regular updates on progress toward enrollment goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize data to inform strategies for improving outreach and conversion rates.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration & Teamwork:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Work closely with other departments, including Student Services and Academic Divisions, to facilitate the enrollment process. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with community organizations to promote Mountwest and programs</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee student ambassador program.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel & Event Participation:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li>Travel regularly to recruitment events, including evening and weekend commitments as needed. <p></p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between the college and prospective students during off-campus events.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required:</p> </li><li> <p>An Associate's degree plus 1-2 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new technological software.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred:</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of higher education systems, particularly community and technical colleges.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with diverse student populations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>This is a full-time, on-site position that is expected to travel and will have occasional evening or weekend responsibilities, as needed. </li><li>The role requires regular interaction with potential students, students, community members, and high school counselors in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment. </li><li>Must have regular and reliable transportation. </li><li>A driver's license is required. </li></ul>
