This role requires expertise in CAD modeling, design optimization, and collaboration across multiple departments to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet cost, timing, and technical requirements.</p> <p>Core Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct design tasks while considering defined costs and deadlines. </li><li>Support value analysis and develop concepts for cost reductions. </li><li>Gather and manage design-relevant information from internal departments, customers, and suppliers. </li><li>Create surface and solid models based on internal and external requirements, ensuring quality of 3D models and drawings. </li><li>Provide illustrations and drawings according to standards and coordinate with internal/external teams. </li><li>Act as package responsible, perform package checks, and document results. </li><li>Document design revisions in CAD reports and maintain CAD data structure in PLM systems within project timelines. </li><li>Support feasibility studies and participate in D-FMEA reviews. </li><li>Inspect external design results for data structure and model quality. </li><li>Prepare design-relevant specifications. </li><li>Support prototype build phases and apply lessons learned to optimize CAD models. </li><li>Conduct exchange and transformation of CAD data. </li><li>Assist in developing design guidelines and technical standards. </li><li>Provide on-site CAD support at customer locations as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field. </li><li>3-5 years of experience in CAD design within the automotive industry (Tier-One experience preferred). </li><li>Proficiency in CATIA V5, NX, or similar CAD software. </li><li>Strong knowledge of GD&T, PLM systems, and automotive packaging requirements. </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with D-FMEA processes. </li><li>Familiarity with prototype build phases and design optimization. </li><li>Ability to manage complex CAD data structures and ensure compliance with standards. </li></ul> <p>Your contact</p> <p>Charlotte Rose Muraske</p> <p>BENTELER Human Resources</p> <p>Phone: 6163339841</p> <p>Your new employer</p> <p>The BENTELER Group always has the answer.
