<p>General Description</p> <p>Experienced, senior-level material handling position responsible for high production, high complexity activities loading, unloading and moving materials within the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. Material Handler III roles are typically assigned to complex and important client accounts, accounts that are highly sensitive accounts, require a high level of effective communication and may consist of high value goods handling.</p> <p>Only authorized to use the following equipment after successful training:</p> <ul> <li>Pallet jack </li><li>Rider jack </li><li>Standup </li><li>Order/Cherry Picker </li><li>Turret Truck </li><li>Reach Truck </li><li>Forklift over 5K </li></ul> <p>Not authorized to use</p> <ul> <li>No heavy lifts (forklift 15k and above) </li></ul> <p>The key differentiators for this position are:</p> <ul> <li>Must be a member of the Safety Committee at least once during the year. </li><li>Must be a trainer and exhibit competency in training others. </li><li>Must know all accounts and be able to perform every floor function in the branch. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Check for vendor accuracy, create bill of ladings (BOLs) </li><li>Responsible for validating no damage to the cargo, ensure correct labeling, perform quality checklist, sign off on load accuracy, kitting, sub-assembly </li><li>Handle hazardous materials, packing, checking MSDS and other required paperwork, </li><li>Fills client orders safely, efficiently, and within Crane SOPs. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring that distribution activities are conducted in accordance with internal quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. </li><li>Reads and follows work orders, and follows instructions to ascertain materials or container loads to be moved </li><li>Operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to high reach vehicle or similar. </li><li>Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand forklift, or other warehouse equipment. </li><li>Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit </li><li>Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet </li><li>Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials </li><li>Scans freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment </li><li>Completes required paperwork thoroughly and promptly. </li><li>Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment. </li><li>Accurately and courteously load client merchandise </li><li>Job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location </li><li>Must be a member of the Safety Committee at least once during assigned </li></ul> <p>Other Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>EDI Knowledge: Extensive understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and working knowledge of XML, JSON data formats </li><li>Data Mapping: Ability to translate business and technical requirements into detailed field-by-field data mappings </li><li>Project Management: Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain team velocity </li><li>Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage expectations, communicate proactively, and navigate competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups Logistics industry knowledge (freight forwarding, warehousing, customs brokerage) </li><li>Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with ability to identify issues early and develop solutions independently </li><li>Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences </li><li>Agile Execution: Ability to work within agile frameworks, create actionable stories, and drive work to completion against target dates </li><li>Team Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of project outcomes </li><li>Judgment & Escalation: Demonstrates sound judgment in knowing when to resolve issues independently vs. when to escalate to management </li><li>Integration experience in retail, government, high tech, or energy verticals </li><li>SQL or other programming language experience </li><li>Experience with integration platforms (Boomi, Sterling Integrator, Informatica) </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Job requires the ability to use vision, adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen </li><li>Stand or sit for long periods of time </li><li>Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance </li><li>Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand </li><li>Job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Greater than three years' of related experience </li></ul> <p>Certification and Licenses</p> <ul> <li>Forklift certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire. </li><li>Other professional certification may be required in some areas, as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Why You
