<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Leadership Assistant</p> <p>Reports To: Principal</p> <p>Position Type: Part-time</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>St. Cecilia School, a vibrant Catholic community in St. Louis dedicated to academic excellence and faith formation, seeks a part-time (50%) Leadership Assistant to support the principal in advancing the school's mission. The Leadership Assistant is a collaborative leader who provides support in designated instructional, spiritual, and operational areas, acting as an extension of the principal's leadership. The Leadership Assistant contributes to building a positive, Christ-centered school culture and remains flexible in focusing on the school's evolving priorities.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Mission and Catholic Identity: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Support the principal in maintaining and promoting St. Cecilia School's Catholic identity and mission. </li><li>Collaborate in integrating Catholic social teaching and Gospel values across curricular and co-curricular programs. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Governance and Leadership: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Serve as an instructional leader in collaboration with the principal and instructional coaches, supporting curriculum development, instructional best practices, and assessment. </li><li>Help foster a professional culture of collaboration, high expectations, and continuous improvement among faculty and staff. </li><li>Assist in the supervision and evaluation of faculty and staff as delegated by the principal. </li><li>Provide a visible leadership presence, ensuring availability to students, teachers, and families throughout the school day. </li><li>Represent the principal at meetings, events, or committees as requested. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Academic Excellence </li></ol> <ul> <li> <p>Provide leadership in selected academic initiatives, such as data analysis, curriculum coordination, or professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Support faculty in instructional practices that promote high achievement for all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with the principal to monitor student progress and address academic interventions as needed.</p> </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Operational Vitality </li></ol> <ul> <li>Assist with operational responsibilities as assigned, which may include student discipline, scheduling, safety procedures, communication with families, or school events. </li><li>Support enrollment and marketing efforts by fostering positive relationships with current and prospective families. </li><li>Help manage aspects of student life, co-curricular activities, or community partnerships according to school priorities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education.</p> </li><li> <p>Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field (or actively pursuing).</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 5 years of teaching or school leadership experience, preferably in Catholic education.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of the Spanish language is strongly preferred to support the school's bilingual and multicultural community.</p> </li></ul>
