<p>Position Title</p> <p>Life Safety System Manager</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Purpose & Scope:</p> <p>Plan and perform installation, inspection and repair duties necessary in wiring circuits and other parts of electrical systems. Duties include diagnosing and repair of all electrical systems and various types of equipment including the operation of power distribution systems and its components of the hospital. Manage and schedule required inspections of life safety systems to include Fire Alarm Systems, Emergency power systems and associated Automatic Transfer Switches. Ensures these inspections are completed in accordance with NFPA and Life Safety Code requirements and time intervals. Life Safety System manager must immediately schedule and supervise corrections and repair of all deficiencies found during testing, presents all documents to DFE Director and assists director during local, state and, federal inspections. Works independently with minimal oversight from DFE Director.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) REQUIRED.</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Six years of electrical engineering is preferred.</p> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> <p>Registered in the state of Virginia as a Master Electrician required.</p> <p>NICET-1 is required.</p>
