<ul> <li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Organizing and stocking supplies, answering phone taking and delivering messages. Greeting and interacting with customers as they enter and exit the facility. Explaining, promoting and registering members for various programs, classes and activities and general membership. Teaching members and guests basic equipment set up. Reporting complaints, ensuring members are signing in, maintaining equipment maintenance records and enforcing rules and regulations of facility.</p> </li><li> <p>DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Provide customer service though: interacting with patrons, educating participants on how to use equipment, and answering questions.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the fitness areas remain clean and organized; organize dumbbells, weight plates, and bars. Disinfect and clean equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively supervise the fitness and cardio areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean and tidy work space.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a first responder in emergency situations and follow emergency protocols set by KDMC.</p> </li><li> <p>Act in a professional manner by upholding KDMC policy when involved in conflict management with customers and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform opening/closing procedures of the fitness floor and cardio areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend mandatory meetings and trainings.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively marketing and promoting current facilities and programs hosted by King's Daughters Wellness Center.</p> </li><li> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum requirement:</p> </li><li> <p>Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications *Required (within 6 months of hire date)</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma/GED</p> </li><li> <p>Experience and knowledge of various fitness equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> </li><li> <p>Works in an indoor setting</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level is usually moderate</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly works near moving mechanical parts</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to maintain in a stationary position (standing or sitting).</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to walk and move about.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to operate a computer and other equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to use fine motor skills to handle and operate instruments/devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to lift and/or move items up to 10 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to lift and/or move items up to 100 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to communicate with customers requiring talking and hearing.</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.</p> </li></ul>
