<p>Overview</p> <p>Kemin Industries is now receiving applications for our 2026 Engineering Support Intern!</p> <p>We are currently seeking high potential students pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Agricultural Systems Technology.</p> <p>Our comprehensive internship program lasts 10-12 weeks. During that time, our interns are assigned a project that will have a direct impact on Kemin's day to day operations. At the culmination of the program, they enjoy an opportunity to present their project and results to Kemin team members including our executive team. In addition to their project, interns also receive mentor-ship and guidance that will help prepare them for their long term careers.</p> <p>At Kemin, we're not all work and no play! We provide our interns with networking, social gathering, and team building activities throughout the summer.</p> <p>If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your summer, we'd love to hear from you!</p> <p>Join the Kemin Team and Transform Lives!</p> <p>We are a privately held, family-owned-and-operated global biotechnology company driven by curiosity and committed to transforming the quality of life for people, pets, and the planet.</p> <p>We create solutions that strengthen health and wellbeing, provide nutrition and immune support for pets and production animals, safeguard the planet's natural resources, and protect the global food supply chain for generations to come.</p> <p>We supply over 500 specialty ingredients for various industries, including human and animal health and nutrition, pet food, aquaculture, nutraceutical, food technologies, crop technologies, textiles, biofuels, and animal vaccines.</p> <p>We employ 3,500 global employees and operations in 90 countries, including manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Italy, San Marino, Singapore, South Africa, and the United States.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and verify accurate documentation on file, including drawings, parts lists , and cost sheets for quoting purposes. </li><li>Build assemblies and support build activities as needed. </li><li>Conduct time studies to support labor estimates, process improvements, and costing accuracy. </li><li>Develop and update "how-to" build booklets and assembly instructions to support standardized and repeatable builds. </li><li>Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to manufacturing processes, documentation, and efficiency. </li><li>Ensure adequate inventory availability for assemblies and full box builds in coordination with internal stakeholders. </li><li>Assist with various tasks within your team. </li><li>Participate in department meetings and contribute ideas regularly. </li><li>Liaison with other departments regarding work and initiatives. </li><li>Identify process improvements and create standard work. </li><li>Partake in the Kemin Summer Internship Program events and trainings. </li><li>Prepare and give a final presentation to Kemin Industries leadership. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior with an accredited college or university, pursuing an Engineering degree with a focus in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Agricultural Systems Technology. </li><li>Ability to commit to 10-12 weeks of full time employment during the months of May-August. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>A high level of passion for your field of study. </li></ul> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer.
