In both the Allison Transmission and Allison Off-Highway Drive and Motion Systems business units, our team strives to Improve the Way the World Works.</p> <p>Learn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward!</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Follows all safety rules and regulations and other standards of operation and conduct. </li><li>Support the departments within the plant as your customer. </li><li>Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, tools, and machines. </li><li>Checks for preventative maintenance and other work orders each working day to complete each assignment on time. </li><li>Maintains accurate records of repair and maintenance within the CMMS system. </li><li>Develop and implement ideas for continuous improvement. </li><li>Actively participate in problem solving sessions. </li><li>Installation of new equipment when directed. </li><li>Work and communicate effectively with all functional areas to provide necessary support to safely produce quality products and services. </li><li>Maintains maintenance shop, inventory, tools and equipment in an orderly manner. </li><li>Performs all position responsibilities in a safe manner and in accordance with all prescribed time schedules. </li><li>Supports total quality management objectives in a team environment. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by your manager. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications required:</p> <ul> <li>Strong computer skills working with Microsoft software. </li><li>Good math skills. </li><li>Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance troubleshooting and repair. </li><li>Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams </li><li>Self-motivated, team-oriented and good organizational skills </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills </li><li>Good welding and fabrication skills </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2-years' experience in a general maintenance related field or technical degree/certificate. </li><li>Strong work ethic within a team environment. </li><li>Good decision making and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Basic machine/tooling knowledge. </li><li>Basic fabrication skills (welding, drilling, cutting, painting, etc.). </li><li>Basic electrical skills (480 3-phase, 110 AC, low voltage DC). </li><li>Knowledge of and experience with PLC Ladder Logic. </li><li>Microsoft Office working knowledge </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. </li><li>Ability to work with little or no supervision and able to plan, organize and set priorities. </li><li>Able to demonstrate effective written and verbal communications skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritize duties and meet deadlines. </li><li>Ability to perform assigned duties and responsibilities accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Must have excellent attendance record </li><li>Must be willing to cross-train within the department </li></ul> <p>Allison Transmission is an equal opportunity employer.
